This is pretty sad that Artie Lange’s mother was the first person to find him after his suicide attempt. Howard Stern didn’t even wanna discuss it much on his satellite radio show, which is a first (not discussing another person’s tradegy). Let’s hope he can be as sincere towards non-related individuals as well. NBC reports:

Tormented comedian Artie Lange was hospitalized after stabbing himself nearly ten times in an apparent suicide attempt, according to a published report that radio host Howard Stern discussed on air this morning.

While a clearly shaken Stern did not confirm the details of a Page Six report that said Lange repeatedly stabbed himself in an apparent attempt at suicide, Stern said they all knew about this and expressed great shock and sadness.

“I’m sorry. I just feel sick about this,” Stern said on air, before deciding not to read the item, according to a Stern fan site. “I don’t know what to do.”

According to Page Six, Lange’s mother discovered the comic in his Hoboken home bloodied by six self-inflicted hesitation wounds and three deep stab wounds on Saturday morning. Read more
